Week Two Assignment: Video Shots

This is a high angle shot where I stood on the second floor and used my camera to film the subject on the first floor.

This shot is the low angle shot, where I stood in the first floor and filmed this video up to the second floor.

This is a point of view shot taken in the point of view of the subject.

This is the over the shoulder shot. I put the camera on the shoulder of the subject.

This is a two shot used to film the conversation between the two subjects.

This is a head on shot that shows subjects running directly at the camera.

This is a long shot showing the subjects at a distance. Maybe too long of a distance.

This is a pan shot where I had filmed from a slight shaky camera.

This is a follow shot where I am following the subject down the hallway.

This is the freeze frame shot where the subjects were ask to freeze in their positions.

This is a reaction shot where this character was reacting to a situation.

This is a eye level shot from my eye level. I held the phone at eye level.

Creating theses shots were a bit more difficult than I initially expected. Mostly from quality issues. I had the hardest time filming certain aspects such as the eye level shot and the pan shot because they where difficult to keep the camera steady. With the head on shot I almost got knocked over. Overall, I had a good experience filming the various shots.

Why am I taking Aice Media Studies?

I decided to take AICE Media Studies because I thought this course would be very interesting and refreshing. I always had an interest in the entertainment industry and media is an integral part of this course. I am hoping to get the essentials in film making and the history behind it.
